Feedburner Instructions

1. Go to Feedburner and log in

2. Enter feed: http://domain-name.com/feed

3. FTP ol_feedburner.php to site's plugin directory

4. Configure Feedburner Feed Replacement in dashboard (see Settings)

5. Get the image: http://www.klamathdesign.com/images/feed_96x96.png

6. FTP RSS image to your site's images directory

7. Add RSS snippet to sidebar (top-right): <a style="border:none;text-decoration:none;" href="/http://yourdomain.com/feed"><img src="http://www.yourdomain.com/images/feed_96x96.png" width="96" height="96" border="0" alt="Your Domain RSS Feed" /></a> (This can be placed into a WordPress Text widget in the Twenty Ten template.)

8. At Feedburner, go to "Publicize" then "Email Subscriptions". Click "Activate" then get the code and add it to your site, under or above the RSS snippet. Change text to: "To receive emailed updates, enter your email address here:"

9. TEST your feed... both the RSS feed and the email feed.

Twitterfeed Instructions

1. Go to Twitterfeed.

2. Log in with Claim ID.

3. On dashboard click "Create New Feed"

4. Enter feed name and feed url: http://www.yourdomain.com/feed (for a WP blog) then click on "test rss feed".

5. Click on "Advanced Settings" and - if you want to add a hashtag or two, do so in "Post Suffix".

6. Click on "Continue to Step 2"

7. Click on "Twitter", choose your Twitter account (or authenticate a new one for this site) and ... click on "Create Service".

FriendFeed Instructions

1. Go to FriendFeed.

2. Click on "Browse/edit groups" then on "Find Groups"

3. Create a standard feed or public group. Name it with the main keyword of your website and new matching Twitter account.

4. Add a nice image and a description.

5. Go to Google Alerts. Create alerts for your topic areas. Get the feed by right-clicking on the RSS symbol.

6. Add alert feeds to your new FriendFeed group using "Custom RSS/Atom".

7. Go to Google Blogs. Find blogs in your topic area and add them to the FriendFeed group and to your Google Reader.

8. Go to YouTube. Search for your main keyword. Filter by "uploaded today". Put that URL in your FriendFeed group as "Custom RSS/Atom". (Note: check results. Sometimes results are too far off topic and the feed must be removed.)

9. At YouTube, if you find people who consistently post videos in your topic, add them to your FriendFeed account.

10. Go to Twitterfeed. Add the FriendFeed group's feed to your new Twitter account.

(This will keep your Twitter account freshly populated with frequent postings even while you're off doing other things!)
